The C&C never went to Tonopah. The Tonopah Railroad was originay built as narrow gauge to oneect with it. SP soon standard gauged the ine forcing the Tonopah to standard gauge aso. They interchanged at Mina, with the Tonopah & Goldfied having trackage rights the last few miles to Mina. Tonopah and GOldfied actuay had several different railroads in their heyday - LV&T from Las Vegas (forced to abandon during WW1 after just a few years of operations), the Tonopah and Tidewater south to Ludow, the Tonopah/Tonopah and Goldgield - and another local railroad (Bullfrog & GOldfield?) that merged into one of the others. The Death Valley ng connected with the T&T. Still an isolated part of the world.
