Seems like the whole impetus to do the signals was entirely in prep for Metrolink; that side street (Sherman Rd.) doesn't get enough traffic to justify the full Monty it got otherwise (though possibly enough morons have killed themselves and others making the left turn from the highway to Sherman that a full set of stop signs would be justified!). I go that way about once a month. There was nothing there before as far as highway traffic control is concerned, not even flashing lights or signs.
