This Saturday will mark the final trip of one of the most famous Amtrak hog heads (or should we say bucket heads?) to ever grace the rails. So well-known and endeared to all who were ever graced with his presence, everyone all around has undoubtedly seen one of the many tributes to this great man along the right of ways five ways from Fresno.
The railroad will never again witness the likes of such a generous and knowing-all railroader. Buckethead, may your last trip on Amtrak #6 and returning on Amtrak #5 the next day be a reflection of the countless lives you have touched throughout your career.
Future generations of railroaders and dispatchers will never get to witness the truly greatest ever engineer in the western region who always knew best and had an answer to everything.
Any foamer who is anyone should plan on being trackside to give this heroic individual a final "Buckethead salute."
