OK, it was a dimly derived dessicated recall. Maybe I got Las Vegas and Oregon mixed up, after all there is a certain visual similarity, particularly with Eastern Oregon. I used to see him on the corner near Lee's Auto Parts (Park and Santa Clara), but haven't for several years now. The story I liked the best was his griping about not being able to go to seep at the Modules in RSV in the wee hours one morning because the office was closed and he couldn't get his specially assigned pillow which was meant to keep the black shoe polish off of the rest of them.
