Herzog MPM IV at Bayside Yard, Everett, WA. 1-29-12

There's an interesting Maintenance-of-Way unit working in Bayside Yard in Everett, WA., accessible along Marine View Drive. It's a Herzog MPM IV (Multi-Purpose Machine "4"), Herzog# HZGX 18800. They've been picking up trimmed trees and mudslide brush and debris from along the right-of-way there. In off periods, I've seen it tied-down on the tracks in front of the Kimberly-Clark paper plant next to Marine View Drive. You can see it from Kimberly-Clark's pedestrian bridge over Marine View Drive, or by parking in the credit union parking lot there in front of the plant.
