The steel has been moving steadily on the Geiger spur, several cars a week. The grain car was the first of 36 and it was set out at the east end of Cheney yard and not taken out on the Geiger spur. 35 more empty grain cars arrived Monday night and a 106 car empty grain train arrived about noon on Tuesday.

The resulting 142 car empty grain train left Cheney just before 1pm on Tuesday. This may have been the largest train to have ever moved on this line. Power was SD45 375, SD45 8924, and GP7 1617, all working online. This train moved non-stop to Webb, just East of Creston.
