Curious: what's the net timing between LA and Bakersfield? By your notes it seems like 2 hours from Mojave, but how long does it take to get from LA to there on the detour?

Also interesting that the detour stays on UP instead of using BNSF like the SJs. But if it goes over Altamont that makes sense - there aren't any passenger stops in the Valley anyway.
