You did the full three-zone fare thing then, with a smidge of Canada.

I forgot to mention my December 1980 round trip from L.A. to Bellingham, WA, wherein I got to ride domes and steam-heated coaches on the Coast Starlight behind SDP40Fs, as well as brand-spanking new Superliners north of Seattle.

Tomorrow I turn 49, and this way-back train ride talk doesn't help me feel any younger!
