He said "discontinued" as in "its use has been discontinued"; he didn't say anything about its removal. ATS is still in place between Dalies, NM and Trinidad, CO on the old "passenger main", but it's not really being used since the entire line was downgraded to class 4 between those points and all trains using it are limited to 79 MPH maximum (not that it matters, since the slow orders between Waldo and Trinidad keep any trains from traveling much above 60 MPH at best).
