Santa Fe started lowering headlights just prior to BN merger, then it started on BN units too. Problem was that if the shop didn't do it right the aim of the new nose mounting would be off and you would, from time to time, get a unit that had a headlight aimed at the signal bridges and then once I got a unit with the nose mounting aiming the headlight into the ballast---found a lot of the termination shunts for grade crossing signals that night.
