THe diamonds seen in photo with Levitz in the background were the crossing of two different industrial tracks off the "main line". The Levitz track curved to allow trains to enter the main going east towards San Bernardino, the other industry is out of view to the right, its switch enters the main going west...since the two industries were so close, this agreement was needed.

The other industry track ran in pavement for the last one feet or so...its still there today, in the pavement of what is now a parking lot.
