Thanks Bruce. I remember the San Berdoo carbarn/shop. It had a pit, too. I have just a few slides my dad took of it. At the time there was a UP lounge car parked in the outside tracks, most likely sold to private party. The only diamond I knew about was right near there, where the ATSF Redlands Loop crossed the PERy track. I have one or two slides of the Loop job crossing the diamond in the early 1970's, and a couple of negatives I took of the substation and outbuilding taken in the late 1980's or early 1990's. I believe the US INS building is there now, right across where Zody's department store was.
