Scott: All of the equipment in New Orleans was rebuilt by Brookville Equipment of Brookville PA. the work was done both pre and post Katrina many of the cars were damaged by Katrina. See the links for more on Brookville and the red cars which were replica cars they built.

Brookville was alos the builder of the CCT 2101 Genset.

New Orleans Streetcar project has already stimulated hotel renovations, new apartment construction and retail projects along Loyola Avenue. The city currently operates three streetcar lines using vintage and replica trolleys, which the city’s transit authority calls “a piece of movable New Orleans history.”
