Not being familiar with the rules or legal implications, I ask the following – As the entire railroad is considered to be within yard limits, does that affect rail removal? Does removing currently unused rail constitute abandonment? If rail was removed with the idea that it would be reinstalled later change anything?
To the best of my knowledge, the track south of the propane spur was pretty much unused. Why would removing that rail create such uproar? Perhaps other rail has been removed in locations I’m not aware of.
