Pensions and benefits are unsustainable. That has been known for some time but there is no incentive to reduce costs to a reasonable level. The poor schmucks that ride transit for the most part will never get the huge benefit packages handed out to employees on the public payroll. Bankruptcy would be a welcome solution.

Also, there are excessive agencies and unnecessary management all guarding their own turfs. Ridiculous.
