Hey, They Still Run Trains on Beaumont Hill

I was out there last evening and caught a WB mixed freight rolling slowly down hill (maybe 25 mph making easy shooting). I assume Colton was packed.

The first shot is from almost two decades ago. I don't remember how I got the elevation (was I on the roof of my Jeep?) and can't find the exact location (any ideas?). Today the vegetation is much heavier and I don't climb on the roof of anything.

Comments and corrections welcome.

Marty
