There are no passenger trains to Santa Maria??

On Monday, May 14th, Train 799 (Surfliner LA to San Luis Obispo) will have private car TIOGA PASS on the rear from LA destined Guadalupe. This car will cut off at Guadalupe and be moved to Santa Maria by the Santa Maria Valley Railroad. On Tuesday and Wednesday, SMV will use TIOGA PASS to entertain their invited guests. On Thursday, Southbound Surfliner 798 will pick up TIOGA PASS on the rear for Los Angeles.

Rare mileage collectors and private car buffs can enjoy a trip from LA to Santa Maria, and the return trip from Santa Maria back to LA. Passengers will have to make their own arrangements for lodging in Santa Maria Monday, Tuesday and/or Wednesday nites. Special rates are available at the Santa Maria Inn.

Lunch will be served on the Northbound trip, and lunch and dinner on the return trip to LA.
As always, full beverage service is included in your fare of $100.00 each way. You are free to use the open platform at any time. Only 10 passengers will make this unusual trip so call Norm of LARail at 760 955 6079 soon!!
