Hey Wizard, Yes payback WILL be a @#$%& when the RR's have to negoiatate their next fuel contract!!! I do agree in the irony of Chemical (oil) companies complaining about being over-charged. The original article mentions the shippers groups' support of Senate legislation to end RR's antitrust exemption. SAY WHAT ??? What exemption ??? I've always understood that Teddy Roosevelt & the I.C.C., et al, had done away with that many years ago. Another irony lies in the fact that while some parts of the Federal Government ( I.C.C./S.T.B., Commerce & Justice Depts. ) allows RR's to merge, and in some cases reunite,( UP/SP ), another part of the same government ( U.S. Senate ) tries to stop it !?!
