Dave, I must have forgotten to share this with our crew. They reopened to through traffic Saturday night (4/7). The first northbound by my house was MHKET just before midnight, followed by MRVET before sunup Easter morning. The remainder of the grain train that derailed had been sitting all week at Shiloh, so it was among the first southbounds to move, along with another train that had been tied down at Bonners Ferry. Everyone's UP friend Brett helped keep me updated.
FYI, the MHKET had been dropped earlier this year and was replaced with the MRVET (straight Roseville to Eastport run, bypassing Hinkle hump), but now they're running both, at least for now. However, the MHKET-B, which handled all those empty centerbeams and other cars for set-out at points along the SI is running only as-needed.
