I'm not as knowledgable of past or current operations at Watsonville as some people on here, but I know that compared with the SP days, or even just five years ago, Watsonville is basically dead. Now with the depot/yard office gone, no more 20-30 car Santa Cruz Locals and UP trying to rid themselves of the Santa cruz Branch, there can't be much going on there besides the Santa Margarita, Hollister and Monterrey? locals plus the rock job. 10 units does seem like a lot nowadays and I suspect you happened upon an unusually busy day in Watsonville!
