To quote the great Ispector Harry Callahan, "you may have misjudged me?"

I have seen enough stupid and crazy on both sides to understand that much of this is not about ideologies or ideas, most with a true believer mentality are impervious to a fact based universe anyhow, regardless of political stripe. And, worse, for half of these folks are really there for the freebies that seem to come with money and power, not what they call themselves.

I don't find very much in the way any deeply held or intellectual liberal or conservative values with many of these folks in Congress. It's mostly about power and money, and in very many cases the labels are just some window dressing for the rubes back home.

I've worked for both real decent Democrats and decent Republicaans in my career, good folks trying to do the right thing. And, I've seen my share of members of both parties that make me want to hide the family silver before they steal it.

I've had RR Retirement stolen, in a previous raid, so don't confuse me with anyone who actually trusts either side in our increasingly dysfunctional political environment right now.

Thanks for accusing me of using facts, though.

But, steam engines are a better topic for my blood pressure the day after taxes.
