some of us took advantage of this. I got a red eye hound from Sac to Reno to catch the Amtrak bus over to Portola and enjoy the trip down the Canyon.
The other fun memory is that SP was quoted in the media as suspecting Weather Underground "terrorists" but the Sac Bee had a story of a model railroader camped out along the ROW making tapes to use on his layout who saw a hotbox. And as they say it was a chain reaction.
