Two differences come to mind :
1) The Southern Pacific lettering on the long hood is all on one line, applied right over the louvers. While this was the factory standard location for the Black Widow scheme, Espee would go to a stacked arrangement upon the 1st repaint, whether the unit was still in Black Widow or in the new Grey & Red scheme.
2) The unit has the 'Dual Fuel ' arrangement of fuel tanks.
