Don't know if it is a GCOR, FRA or other violation to have a "visitor" or railfan in the cab, but I got a cab ride on the Napa Valley Wine Train a few years back (for free!). The engineer ran the train with no problems and I wasn't a distraction despite my enjoyment of the cab ride!!!
