I was living in Wesminster and working in Broomfield at the time, working for UP, and that accident happened on a Friday evening. It was astonishing that the Colorado Department of Transportation could get that grade crossing in and working by the morning commute on Monday morning, getting the necessary agreements with the BN, the land owners (don't know if it was within the highway right of way), get the signals up and working, getting a contractor out there to pour the asphalt over the weekend! Absolutely amazing.
