When I went out to the 2005 NRHS Convention, I rode the Lewis & Clark Explorer train from Portland to Astoria. I rode one of the regularly scheduled trains rather than the NRHS excursion trip.

It was very nice ride and I enjoyed the layover in Astoria. I spent much of the layover at the Columbia River Maritime Museum which is an excellent museum.

I'd like to return for a further exploration of Astoria and surrounding areas.

Glad I rode the Lewis & Clark Explorere when I had the chance.
