Sounds like a fun project. I'm not sure why they want to refurbish this particular 1937 locomotive when they could probably get a tourist line to test it out on a less efficient unit. but if biomass coal really works, it could also be consumed by utilities as a coal substitute. And this engine will still pollute locally, probably making many people think there's a wild fire nearby from the smell of the exhaust...just my speculation.
