As I recall, the Rio Grande Scenic has another classic observation car on hand, the ex-SOU "Lookout Mountain", also a veteran of the SOU/NS steam excursions.

This car, along with two ex-SOU heavyweight coaches, migrated to the Mount Hood RR in Oregon in the late 1980s after NS purged some of the older excursion rolling stock. It migrated again, from Oregon to Colorado, after Iowa Pacific acquired the MHRR and brought in an ex-Holland America, ex-ATSF dome lounge to serve as the feature car for its excursion trainset.
