If you get a chance head down to Shasta College and check out the Museum great place to learn about local history and places to see, Talk to Dottie if she is still working there. (I have a Reaserch paper archived at the museum on the abandoned ROW under Shasta Lake from when I took Dottie's class 'The History of Shasta County' years ago) Also if you up in the Sac river canyon the abandoned NG cars above LaMoine are pretty cool as is Bully Hill on Shasta Lake. Lots to see and enjoy in Redding if you are the Adventurous type.
