Change my statement to read "all the container traffic .. .. .. ", which is what I was thinking of when I wrote it -- comes from friends in the shipping industry who mentioned that it was because it's closer to Asia by sea from Seattle and closer to the East Coast by rail (less mountain grades too). Add bauxite (Richmond) and coke (Benicia) to your bulk commodity list.
