I did my first locospotting in the US right here. Sometimes it was busy enough to park the car and have lunch. Usually plenty of switching. Then a trip up to Sonoma where on the other side of the depot there were usually SD9s. What were they doing there? Refueling? Also always a lot of action around the lumber yard; even cars parked at the Sonoma depot and Sebastiani winery as well as the feed company. The Schellville yard always seemed busy with long trains. At least theres some action there nowadays!
