Seeing the revolution of the DASH9-44-CW, If BN were never to have merged with AT&SF, would it have mingled with another GE product?
If so where would the roster continue.....
I'm thinking the #9000 or #9100 series. BN did dabble with C30-7's, as well as other GE products, but as a secondary locomotive manufacturer. Most other class I's did the same - give an equal amount of orders for locos to GE as well as GM (EMD) at the time where the DASH9-44 surpassed the SD70 series.
Where would the GE locomotives fit in on other Class I's if there were no mergers?
Anyone have an opinion on the matter?
