Unofrtunatly the POTB is completely shut down. There are three SD9s left. 6139,6116,4406. OCSR is working to purchase 4406 from POTB since this locomotivce is representative of what the Southern Pacific ran on the Tillamook Branch for so many years. We'd also like to find a way to use the other two SD9s, but that is a ways off.
This spring OCSR put a lot of hours clearing brush and trying to get a handle on the vegetation issue. It is amazing how fast the blackberries and scotch broom grow when left alone. We were also able to hire a weed spray truck to spray the line from Batterson to the Air Museum south of Tillamook. That made a big difference.
The OCSR lease runs from the Tillamook Air Museum to Enright, 5 miles up the canyon from Salmonberry. We are making plans to rebuild the wash out at Salmonberry to facilitate runs to Enright in the next couple of years.
After DLMX 274 was stranded in 2007 OCSR purchased the locmotive and now use it on the dinner trains along with POTB 101.
Hope this answers some of your questions.
