Seriously. I'm glad there are a few other people here who have the balls to speak the truth about this without worrying about hurting somebody's feelings. I don't care who owns ATSF 62L or how much money they put into it since it is the only intact PA in this country and therefore the historical interest of the unit for the people should supersede one man's 1:1 scale freelance fantasy. Why not paint the Enola Gay or better yet, Fifi (the only air worthy B-29) in Army green like a B-17? Why not take a Spitfire, paint over the RAF target and slap a Swastika on the tail? Or how about we take a 1968 Ford GT40 and paint it Ferrari red? There is a reason why this will never happen and I wish it applied to rail buffs and rail historians as well. No wonder outsiders don't take our hobby seriously. We don't.
But by all means, if someone has enough money, they can do what they want with "their" property. Maybe someone should buy the Mona Lisa and let their five year old draw on it because it's "their" property...
