No. 104 is the same locomotive I rode behind back in June of this year on a Sunday--only for about a mile or so out of Hill City. Approaching Tin Mill Hill there was a sudden release of copious amounts of steam and the engine crew bailed as we came to a sudden stop. When all had cleared, the entire train crew had a pow-wow and called for a diesel to pull us back to Hill City.
We finally made the full trip to Keystone behind our rescue diesel.
