They still need to fix the south approach to the tunnel at 77.3 above Big Eddy. The hill
side above the track has shifted enough to cause problems for long cars entering the
tunnel. The last motorcar excursion about 5 years ago was turned at Big Eddy for safety
reasons even though they are much shorter than a passenger car.
