Last time I saw Mike Repp, it was about 1987 and we were all scouring the hillsides between Burr Canyon and Kahlotus, WA, for shots of BN trains in the final months of the SP&S High Line. I'll turn 50 in February, and I believe Mike is either a year or two behind me, or the same age. I can still hike several miles and climb a few hundred feet of canyon wall with photo gear, food, and water on my back. So I'm sure this shot of 4449 was a stroll in the park for Mike. To the best of my knowledge, there's no direct relation to Tim Repp. Both men are superb shooters, though. If you can get your hands on a copy of the BCR book that John Garden published back around the late 80s, you'll see some fantastic shots by Mike.
