Check your facts next time, my friend; the problems with the I-35W bridge were well known to both MNDOT and the US DOT for many years and were consequently well documented. Minnesota bureaucrats and politicians (who spent far too much time wringing their hands over what to do and how to do it as well as the cost), not MNDOT's bridge inspectors, are to blame for that disaster.
