MUNI #1006 Fresh from Brookville

Built by St. Louis Car in 1948, MUNI #1006 was their first true PCC. Part of a group of ten, they later became known as "The Big Tens" (as opposed to 1016 to 1040 "Little Tens). Seven of the cars survive with six of them now in regular service. #1006 had just returned from a complete rebuilding at the Brookville plant in Pennsylvania and is seen on November 4th, 2012 operating on the J-Church Line as part of the MUNI 100th anniversay celebration.
