Vern was a great man. I was his competition for awhile although his store was much better than mine. He was always polite to me when I would visit his store to buy decals for a small freight car business I was running. Eventually I closed my shop and sold my displays to The Train Shop and to this day they are there.

Sad to hear about this news. Another great hobby shop owner passes.
