The other high-cost item to finish the line to Molena is that all the ties must be replaced beyond Bird's Landing Road. We can either have the track crew spend an entire season doing that job, or hire a contractor. Either way is costly, either in volunteer time or money.

Now that all the passenger equipment which operates to Bird's Landing can be operated from both ends of the train, there is less urgent need to get access to the siding at Molena in order to run a locomotive around to the other end of the train for the return trip.

Replacing Car Barn 1 is a much more urgent need.
