We had a private crossing where Carl farmed in Coyote on the coast line and ALL trains sounded their horns there at all times. AFAIK, they do the same all down the coast line thru the Salinas valley at all private xings and etc. and I can't imagine that the Santa Cruz branch would be "exempt"----of course, over there, one never knows-----------------------:-)
