If I close my right eye, everything warms up by several degrees. Close the left, and everything looks a little cooler. Open both, and everything looks "normal." Obviously my visual cortex synthesizes the contrasting color information into some kind of compromise, just like camera manufacturers do when they design CCDs. I like the more saturated of Howard's shot. Just as I like my steak with some salt and pepper.
