When everything is all electronic, both text and photos, it will be so easy to change history and other records with the pressing of the "delete" key. I know of at least one college museum that now regrets making their photo collection all digital (and shredding the
originals as un-needed)---the latest and greatest format at the time is now absolete and the only machine they kept that can read the stuff is broke. Books and photos are nearly forever, digital survives only as long as the technology is current and kept up, provided no one hits the delete key, edits the stuff to "correct" history, and someone is around that still knows how to make it all work.
