Taylor Heavy Haul is one of the companies the PLA used to use to haul equipment to Niles Canyon. They has a roll-on roll-off trailer that allowed locomotives and cabooses to be moved without using a crane. I don't know about the equipment in their yard though.

Dobbas is also in Antelope. They are a scrap yard and equipment reseller. They usually have flatcars for bridges and some cabooses for sale. They are a good source of spare parts such as type E coupler parts and brake valves. The PLA bought two old SP wood side boxcars from them about 10 years ago. Just recently some PLA members were up there and saw a ex-SP Jordan Spreader - too bad we dont really have a use for it (could use it for moving mud and trenching). It's always fun to visit them and see what they have in their yard.
