Giving up something? Hey, if the railroad can find them property equal to what they have now, both in area and condition, fine. But in this case, the proposed acquasition of land would have a substancial negetive impact directly on the property owners in that area, due to the nature of who they are and how they live. The property owners affected here are not some mega farm consortium where the land is used for commercial purposes, but small/medium personal farms used exclusively for self-sustained living. I am sure something can be worked out that is positive to all.
