Down and Dirty Russian Railroading

If you've enjoyed the various foreign flings posted here at AP, check out some of this gritty action which my son stumbled onto recently. Russia's Baikal-Amur Railway has mountain grades with manned helpers where the thick exhaust plumes and occasionally grubby nature of the rolling stock remind me of Mullan Pass in the late 80s or just about anywhere that SP dealt with mountains in Oregon or California.
