Hey people! So I was going through the Altamont Press forum and came across Howard''s post about the cement plant. I read it but didn't really understand. Are they going to rebuild or tear down the old plant? In the story it talks about "full site closure" but then it states "the future of the site is unknown". Does the railroad now run trains to davenport? If a new company comes in at the plant will they use the railroad to bring them cars? Are there other buisnessses that take cars on the line anymore??

I didnt even no the plant was closed. I remember seeing a SP train with a lot of cars a few years ago. Im suprised it closed because every time I saw the train it was really long.
