I have seen grain loaded at Oakesdale (a month ago?), and several cars were loaded at Palouse recently (that's primarily malting wheat), all BN cars. Just before Watco dropped the surcharge bomb on the P&L, a matching train of yellow state cars was sent over to the P&L as Fallon and Oakesdale requested them. They loaded the set 3 or 4 times, the quickest turnaround from the BN was just over a month.

There are 3 PCC/State train sets in use on the Hooper Turn/Walla Walla operations. One of the crew mentioned that a state train set was sent to the CW. Over Thanksgiving, I had to visit the in-laws in the Tri-Cities and noticed several of the yellow state cars under the car repair shed at Pasco.
