Re: Southern Pacific Triple Unit Dining Car Sold

Rumor has it that the triple unit has been sold to a tourist RR operation in Texas, not too far from where the car is now. This is great news for passenger car fans as it looks like one of only 2 triple units left in the country has been saved for now. It will be great to see it back on live rail. For a tourist RR, it shouldn't actually need a huge amount of work to get it operational. Primarily air brake work and air conditioning. Of course, those Waukesha Enginators and Ice Engines would probably run just fine if they were properly serviced.
